Your first 24 hours: accommodation registration
Hotels normally handle registration for guests. If you stay elsewhere, you or the host should complete the required accommodation registration promptly.

Know who is responsible
The National Immigration Administration explains that hotels register foreign guests. For a home, rental or other non-hotel stay, the foreign national or host should complete accommodation registration with the local public security authority within 24 hours of arrival.
An online service for non-hotel accommodation registration began as a regional pilot in March 2026. Check whether online handling is available where you are staying; otherwise use the local process.
Keep the record accessible
Use accurate passport, address and arrival information and keep the resulting record available. If you change accommodation, ask the local authority or call 12367 to confirm whether a new registration is required for your situation.
Check the type of accommodation
If you stay in a hotel, ask for the registration confirmation. If you stay in a home, rental or other non-hotel place, agree with your host who will complete registration and where. Online handling is available only where the local service supports it.
Save the result
Use the address and passport details that match your actual stay. Keep the registration record accessible. When moving to a new address, ask the local authority whether a fresh registration is required.
